WildWays Education: Empowering Wildlife Professionals

In our WildWays Education services we offer on-line classes covering a growing library of topics. Wildlife rehabilitators and veterinary specialists will find short courses on a growing range of topics that directly aid the wildlife community of rehabilitators and biologists, and support veterinary practices to manage their wild patients.

WildWays webinars

Natural History Webinars

Natural history webinars will detail the development of a growing range of heron species including downloadable Developmental Charts to help guide the captive care and nutritional needs of growing youngsters. Adult care and species-specific issues and nutrition webinars will assist the rehabilitator as they develop their SOP’s. The veterinary medical based webinars will review common issues including parasites, diseases, injuries and intensive care to combat stress myopathy and dehydration.

Meet the instructor

Dr Lynn Miller

Lynn Miller CWR PhD, originally from New Zealand, immersed herself in wildlife from an early age. Her journey led her abroad to pursue Conservation Biology and Environmental Toxicology studies in England, Canada, and the USA. With a serendipitous entry into wildlife rehabilitation, she has become a respected figure in the field, founding Le Nichoir in Quebec, working in the USA, and contributing globally through the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC). After four decades of learning from leaders in the field, Lynn is now back in New Zealand, focusing on her passion for education.
