Lynn Miller CWR PhD began life in New Zealand surrounded by animals: cats, dogs, chickens, horses, budgies, etc. However, her passion for wildlife and conservation led her to move overseas to pursue studies in England. She continued Conservation Biology and Environmental Toxicology studies in Canada and the USA. Wildlife rehabilitation just happened, and now she is considered one of the ‘oldies’ in this field, working in Quebec by founding Le Nichoir and working in the USA in facilities in Massachusetts and Florida, as well as many deployments to disasters.

Working with the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC), she undertook teaching stints in Canada, the USA, Mexico, Europe, the UK and Africa, as well as developing several courses and training units. And now, she is back in NZ, initially employed as the General Manager of BirdCare Aotearoa.

Lynn has been able to learn from world leaders in wildlife rehabilitation over the past 40+ years, develop and modify practices, and embrace new technologies and materials to bring creative ways rehabilitators can care for their patients. Now, she is focusing on her passion: education. She is looking forward to sharing so much and learning from you all. Together, we can pursue greater professionalism to support those in need, no matter the species, issue or location, with online pre-recorded and live online classes.
